Postcards from the Future, is a series that confronts the colonial legacies embedded in Caribbean tourism by centering predominantly Black and local vacationers at Golden Rock Inn, a luxury hotel on Nevis that once operated as a sugar plantation. This project subverts dominant visual narratives that frame leisure as white and foreign, offering instead a more self-determined image of rest and belonging. In doing so, it invites reflection on how place, history, and identity remain entangled.
